Product features
Active zinc oxide is a white or yellowish spherical fine powder, with a density of 5.47g/cm3, a melting point of 1800 ℃, insoluble in water, soluble in acid, alkaline ammonium chloride and ammonia. Carbon dioxide forms basic zinc carbonate in humid air.
Its biggest feature is that its particle size is 50-100 nm, which has a larger specific surface area than indirect zinc oxide and direct zinc oxide, and has higher activity and good dispersion in application.
The refractive index of active zinc oxide is very similar to that of natural rubber, so it can make the color of vulcanized products more transparent.
Application
1. It can be used as a vulcanizing active agent with good rolling property and excellent dispersion. In addition, it has small particle size, light and loose structure, large specific surface area of nitrogen adsorption, uniform distribution in rubber, large contact area with hydrogen sulfide, and large opportunity for interface reaction. In addition, the product has the catalytic effect of active substances, which makes the conversion rate of zinc oxide to zinc sulfide high. Therefore, as a vulcanization accelerator and a good reinforcing agent of synthetic rubber, it is 50-70% of the amount of ordinary zinc oxide.
2. It is widely used in the deep desulfurization and purification process of industrial feed gas and oil such as fully formed ammonia, methanol and hydrogen production. Under certain temperature and pressure, it can effectively reduce the concentration of trace hydrogen sulfide and organic sulfur in the gas.
3. It can be used as a stabilizer of ultraviolet ray in the rubber industry to improve the atmospheric resistance of polyethylene.
4. The zinc resin produced by reacting with resin acid can be used to produce quick drying ink with good coloring effect.
